My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for International Development has pledged a further £15 million, on top of the £25 million pledged since11 September and the £32 million that we have committed to the Afghan Crisis since 1997.

We have provided £3 million to UNHCR for its programme in response to the Afghan Crisis, this has included a site planning specialist and other practical as well as financial support.

Since September last year, DFID has provided £60 million in response to the Afghan Crisis, through UN agencies, the Red Cross movement and non-governmental organisations.
