The UK and our European partners will continue to support the peace process and the efforts of former Tanzanian President Julius Nyerere to bring about a durable solution to the Burundi Crisis.

First, can the Minister reassure me that the Government understand how important it is to solve the Crisis in Burundi?

I hope to meet President Museveni and to co-operate with his efforts to effect a regional solution to the Crisis in Burundi.

I know that this Minister and other Foreign Office Ministers understand the severity of the Crisis in Burundi, as he has been good enough to speak with me and my hon. Friend the Member for Stafford on a number of occasions.

There is concern in all parts of the House about the Crisis in Burundi.
