SIR FRANCIS EVANS (Southampton): I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies if the Government will agree to the Motion for a Return relating to the present financial Crisis in Newfoundland, which stands on this day's Paper?
The question arose again in 1895 when there was a financial Crisis in Newfoundland, and negotiations took place between the Canadian Government and the Newfoundland Government as a result of which agreement was nearly reached.
