In the context of Libya, I echo the words ofthe right hon. Member for Manchester, Gorton (Sir Gerald Kaufman) about the Department's prompt response to the emerging Crisis in North Africa, and especially to the evacuation of people fleeing the violence of the conflict.

I remind my right hon. Friend of the point made by my hon. Friendthe Member for Islington North (Jeremy Corbyn) about those who are seeking to cross the Mediterranean to come into Europe because of the Crisis in North Africa.
