Mr. HAYCOCK: We are told this is a real Crisis in Our Financial Affairs because we are going to spend £7,000 on a civil servant.

Of this I am quite sure, that the greatest dis-service that there could possibly be to the peoples of the Far East, with whom we are particularly concerned today, would be for the United Kingdom and the sterling area, by taking on more burdens than we can afford, to precipitate a Crisis in Our Financial Affairs.
