Secondly, there is the more serious question that if Ministers have contracted, as obviously Ministers have to do, appointments outside London, on important missions such as visiting what is to be, after all, the largest new town in the country, is it right that appointments should be suddenly cancelled, not for any reason of national emergency, not for any reason of Crisis in the Ministry Itself, but for a reason affecting the Government political party?
