May I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether he will state if there have been representations within the last two days made by the French Government to His Majesty's Government - whether by Note or not I am not concerned - [Interruption] - whether those representations are concerned with the Crisis in the West of Europe and, if so, whether any kind of reassuring answer has been given to the French Government in answer to any requests they have made?
Is it not usual that any Crisis in the West affects all nations of the West if they are of any power whatever?
It would be absurd to make a Crisis in the West of what is so clearly a major crisis in the East.
The harsh fact is that this is the most difficult economic Crisis in the West since the 1930s.
