In the course of the next few years, the Crisis in University Places will become worse, and one can well imagine the difficulties of the student who is probably good enough to go to university but does not do so.

Turning to the Liberal Democrat response to the Crisis in University Places and to the way in which young people have become victims of the recession, we, too, think that higher education is a good place for young people to shelter from the recession.
