Despite the smug, camouflaged red-herring language of the motion, I suggest that there is abundant evidence that the Government were initially reluctant to acknowledge the local implications of the growing Crisis in World Tin, incapable of appreciating the magnitude of that crisis when it broke and unwilling to act as the economicand human holocaust moved onwards through Cornwall.
