There is clearly a humanitarian Crisis of Biblical Proportions emerging in Darfur and I congratulate him on the role that he has played in drawing it to the attention of the international community.

Those deaths are largely preventable, but without significant intervention the situation threatens to develop into a humanitarian Crisis of Biblical Proportions.

My Lords, the tragic humanitarian Crisis of Biblical Proportions arising out of the situation in Syria is now impacting all European countries, to add to the enormous pressures on Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey.
