It weighs too heavily upon our hearts for us to throw it lightly aside as a thing of no account; but if you ask me whether anything in the power of the Unionist Party or of any other Party, whether anything within the compass of the wit of man to devise is sufficient to meet the Crisis of the Want of employment now and again falling heavily on the great masses of the population, I fear we can look forward to no prospect of that kind".
