The Minister will be aware that such is the enormity of Iraq's Displacement Crisis that this year the UNHCR needs to raise more than £130 million for its Middle East region operations - its largest single relief operation.

According to a report published by Amnesty International just yesterday, the neglect of conflicts around the world has led to the Worst Displacement Crisis since the second world war.

Put simply, we need more countries to share the load by taking a greater share of refugees from what has become the Biggest Displacement Crisis of a generation.

When we received the report of that summit, I welcomed the Government's approach in scaling up the methods that we pioneered in the Syria region as a global model for dealing with this protracted Crisis of Displacement, going beyond people's basic needs and investing in education, jobs and livelihoods.
