Finance Ministers should consider issues of the Global Debt Crisis not only in terms of the costs and risks to British, United States or other banks in relation to developing countries, but also the terms of development.

I welcome the Minister's presence, and I also want to thank another member of the Government for his interest in and commitment to resolving the Global Debt Crisis.

Yes, these are difficult times; yes, this is a Global Debt Crisis.

Because of the tough decisions that the Government have already taken to get to grips with our deficits, Britain has avoided the worst of this stage of the Global Debt Crisis.
