He is the Member of Parliament for my original home town - Rotherham - and he is such an endearing figure and his remarks are so wonderfully indiscreet at regular intervals and so marvellously inconvenient to his colleagues that we really hope that if the Home Secretary does not survive His Current Career Crisis the Minister for Europe can be put into the Cabinet so that we have a source for what is going on there.
