There is currently an Income Crisis in Northern Ireland's agricultural industry, brought about by a substantial increase in production costs at a time when net profits have been substantially reduced.

The Secretary of State for Scotland has made a great headline announcement, saying that arable payments will be available to help the Current Income Crisis, but such are the bureaucracy and failings in the system that those payments are not, in large measure, getting in time to the people whom they need to hit.
