I am glad that the hon. Member for Ladywood (Mr. Yates) and I have succeeded in catching your eye, Mr. Speaker, because industry in Birmingham, and in the Midlands generally, is facing Its Gravest Production Crisis since 1940, owing to shortages of raw materials, particularly of metals.
