When one looks back at the tragedy of Vietnam and what happened to our allies - the United States - at that time, we see that not only was there an appalling loss of young life by the Americans and a squandering of huge resources, but a coarsening of values, which perhaps was no less distressing, and which led eventually to the Presidential Crisis.
