A lot of people are making all sorts of allegations as to what is the cause of the Private Pension Crisis.

The UK is in the grip of a Private Pensions Crisis, with 60% of private sector employees saving nothing for their retirement.

The only reason we currently have a Private Pension Crisis - and it has happened in my constituency as well - is that in the 1980s and 1990s private companies took pension holidays and undermined the pension schemes themselves.
