The official points out that, despite the United States Iranian Relations Crisis, American goods have continued to reach Iran, partly through the ports on the Arab shore of the Gulf and certainly through Dubai, which could be used for circumventing a Western boycott, apart from its traditional role as an embarkation point for smuggling goods into Iran.
