Twenty years ago there was a Crisis in the University of London, which united a large number of electors on my side.
It seems, therefore, that everything in This University Crisis points to one solution, that we must bring the universities out of the hands of the Treasury into the hands of someone who is concerned about education as a whole.
So I end on a mildly optimistic note, not only about the student problem but about the University Crisis generally.
If one asks the man in the street about the University Crisis, he will probably answer, in unparliamentary language, Students!
