My Department funds a number of Voluntary Rape Crisis centres and other organisations in this field, including the Women's Aid Federation, which is a national umbrella organisation that helps and supports refuges for battered women and their children in England - and I am due to meet that federation next week.

As my hon. Friend has said, Voluntary Rape Crisis organisations play a crucial role in providing a range of services such as counselling, therapeutic support and advocacy services.
