The deprofessionalisation that they suffer is obvious in a growing Crisis in the Work Force.

A local consultant dermatologist wrote to me outlining what he called a Work Force Crisis, with a national shortage of consultants and considerable variation in the quality of dermatology provision across the country, as services are increasingly provided by those without appropriate levels of training.

I hope that they will back our plans to ease the Work Force Crisis that they have, in part, helped to create.

Although the hon. Member for Halton raised some important issues, some of which were echoed by the shadow Minister,the hon. Member for Copeland (Mr Reed), it is frankly not good enough to complain now about a GP Work Force Crisis when they were in power for 13 years.

GPs across the north-east say that they are facing a Work Force Crisis, with falling numbers of family doctors.
