Such being ray view of the present Crisis in the Politics of this country, I shall conform my language to it on all occasions when talking with the Members of the Sardinian Government; and it will be a great satisfaction to me to learn from yeur Lordships that I have taken ground of which you approve".

That being so, James I must turn in his grave if he considers the achievements of the universities at one Crisis in Our Politics.

Again I am struck that the one country in Europe where the Crisis of Politics seems to be least acute is Germany, where church-going, the small town and small company remain strongest and the local bank still remains.
