The previous Government, who were recently so resoundingly defeated at the polls, belatedly began a process of consultation on insurance provision as a response to the Crisis in Long Term Care.
When my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State made the announcement about the royal commission, the hon. Member for Runnymede and Weybridge, who is on the Opposition Front Bench today, had the brass neck to ask what the Government intended to do about the Long Term Care Crisis.
