My complaint about the Secretary of State is that he is creating a Tragedy and a Constitutional Crisis that he, this Government and the Department of the Environment will live to regret until the end of time.

The hon. Member for Hackney, South and Shoreditch (Mr. Sedgemore), that well-known exponent of understatement, declared in the debate:The Secretary of State is creating a Tragedy and a Constitutional Crisis that he, this Government and the Department of the Environment will live to regret till the end of time".

Then, the hon. Member for Hackney, South and Shoreditch (Mr. Sedgemore), who is not in the House at the moment, said:the Secretary of State … is creating a Tragedy and a Constitutional Crisis that he, this Government and the Department of the Environment will live to regret till the end of time".
