At a time of Immense Crisis, the life of the Chinese universities is being continued, and the Chinese Government are insisting that it is the duty of students to continue at the universities, not in their personal interests - for many of them are patriotically desirous to join in the military effort of their fellow countrymen - but in the interests of the future of China.

The Immense Crisis that will face the world from the point of view of the problems that we set forth in the Brandt Commission report are also set out in the report that my hon. Friend mentioned.

It will create an Immense Crisis, and I must spend some time on it.

I am sure that the whole House will want to join the hon. Lady in sending our condolences to people in Japan and to express our admiration for their incredible bravery and resilience in dealing with This Immense Crisis.
